Tracker leads to stash of stolen bikes – Police

A tracker on a bike directed police to a stash of suspected stolen bicycles in Huddersfield.

Officers found about 30 pedal bikes, along with two quad bikes, alongside power tools.

A man and two women have been arrested in connection with the discovery.

Police said they hoped to reunite the items with their owners.

Officers made the discovery while following up reports of a bike stolen in Rastrick in the early hours of Thursday.

A tracker fitted to the bike led them to the address, where the stash was found, West Yorkshire Police said.

Insp James Graham, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "This was a significant recovery of what we believe to be stolen items.

“We will continue to take reports and take positive action when it comes to information received by the local community."
